UP XIX

You know, this week has been positively a violent one.

In a suburb of Dallas, a woman ran over a little six-year-old and turned herself in Wednesday.
She turned out to be a social studies teacher in at a middle school.

In the same suburb, there was an accident this past week on Interstate 30 where three kids where killed when their car stalled out and a truck hit them from behind at "highway speeds." Also, a man shot up an office building. He killed two people, I think. Yesterday overnight, three cars were involved in a multi-car crash where the driver of a Dodge sedan and his passenger were burned to death after they caused a crash and after a truck ruptured their fuel tank.

In Kaufman Co., about a hundred miles to the southeast, a prosecutor was shot on his into the county courthouse.

In Georgia, a teen girl who performed at President Obama's inaugural celebration was shot in the head.

In Fort Worth, a guy in a Pontiac Firebird was killed after he careened off the road and drove right into a small rock retaining wall. His car was completely destroyed, he died on impact. He was street racing; the other car has yet to be found as of this writing.

A lot of crappy things have happened this week. But the important thing is that you don't let them get you down. Yes, their terrible, but life marches on, unfortunately.
