I always joke about my school's pregnancy rate. Last year (and at the beginning of this last one), I noticed a few girls walking around with these large bellies protruding from their small frames. Seriously. These girls, who aren't any taller than 5'2 and weigh no more than 115 lbs. are having babies and their bodies can barely handle it. But I digress...
In March, we began to learn about child abuse. And then development. And then babies. That section began with the birth process (poor Janice!) and then taking care of the baby. Then came buying the items necessary. We we're given a list and we needed to find out the prices for the items. I didn't finish my list, but 3/4 of the way down, my total was $1435. As I told my development teacher, "This is good birth control for everyone."
