You know, I had planned to write a very long review of the movie, because I had really liked it. But I'm just not a movie reviewer. I'll keep it brief.

He Likes You!

Since school ended a month ago, I've been taking care of nephew, a ball of energy that answers back with putz and bisch. It was Friday night, and a break from the little guy. I love him to death, but he can really get on your nerves whenever he unplugs all your stuff from the wall.

The Department of Motor Vehicles

This summer is a one of changes. Aren't they all? While applying for a job this past week, there was a question asking that if I was hired, would I be able to prove my age. I couldn't. No I.D. card. No driver's license. "So," I thought, "I need an I.D.!" After talking it over with my parents, my dad drove me to the Dept. of Public Safety office near where we live.

Obamacare!

On Thursday, June 28, 2012, the Supreme Court of the United States upheld President Obama's Patient Protection and Affordable Health Care Act, passed in 2010 by Congress. This act will give thirty million Americans access to better health insurance and to end restrictions that companies can impose on people if they have a pre-existing health problems.

I'll leave this post non-political, but here are screenshots of all the major news websites in the U.S. when the decision by the Supreme Court was published.

Bright Eyes

This summer, my god, has passed slowly. Maybe it's because of my erratic sleep schedule. Sleep for three, five hours and wake up at nine all to stay up all night. It's maddening. And my room is dark due to the windows being covered up. It's terrifying!

I'm Melting Honey!

"Today, we reached a high of 106!" exclaimed the meteorologist. It's been a hot week here in Texas as we feel the wrath of high pressure on our state. As I published last year and mentioned in an SMCS post in September, we broke the record of days above 100°F (~38°C) set in 1981. We failed to break the record for consecutive days above 100°F, which was forty-two (we only reached forty in 2011).

¡Hola y Adiós, Señor Rodriguez!

¡Hola! Sr. Rodriguez. I've been thinking about him lately. In a most innocent way, of course. I remember a time in which I didn't like him. I found him conceited and annoying. That little booger was the vain of my existence. That was when in middle school, however. I remember him and I getting into an argument sitting at the same table at lunch. Those were the days.

Sure Am Gonna Miss You

"It's over" I muttered to myself. The caps flew and the arms hugged. Thirteen years of hard work was now behind me and I have so much to look forward.

A two weeks later...

I was lying in bed, watching "Monk." The series has come to end. During the last few minutes of the episode, we see a montage of the past seven years. A Randy Newman song is playing over the video. It gets to me a little while I stare the television in front of me. I snort.
