This! One

The following post is rated 18+O for scenes of disturbing physical deformities and drug intake.

Introducing a new feature to the ESF: this! A weekly(?) feature giving videos and stories that need a signal boost to inform people about certain things or events going on around this great blue ball of ours.

In this first edition of this!, comes "Siberia: Krokodil Tears", from New York-based VICE.

University Press LII (52)

THIS WEEK, WE CELEBRATE ONE YEAR OF UNIVERSITY PRESS.

Between us, I'm surprised that it's gone this long (if you ignore the fact I haven't published since July.)

North to Denton: A PhotoJournal - Part One

Let's start this post off right. The frick is Denton at?

It's 40 miles north of the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area. Right at the border between metropolitan and rural North Texas.

Georgia, Part VI

Making my way to Texas, driving fast, the sun's down, and I'm homebound

Coming soon to the ESF

"It says it's here, but it's not."

Downtown

Alyssa thought it would be great to go out and explore what we could in Columbus for the short time we were there. So around 9PM or so, we went out in search of any hookah bar in the city. She found one, close to the waterfront, in historic downtown Columbus.

Three Years of the ESF

Hey hey!
We gotta keep it going.

I have to say, if someone told me three years ago that I would: A) have a blog; B) lose a friend; C) keep said blog for three years, I probably would have blown you off.

But hey, here we are, three years later, and still going strong.

It's strange to note how I have changed in the last three years, including how my insights on things and what I've experienced have also gone with it. Being exposed to different people and exploring their worlds has helped me look beyond myself, into something different.

And when it comes to crediting with the "foundation" of my "foundation", a little of it goes to The Archenemy. I mean, if it wasn't for our misunderstanding about a visit to Mexico, I probably wouldn't have the ESF, although I'd probably have a blog, but with some out-of-place name.

I also have to thank those who stumble on this ship-- shit, at least it floats.

And really, isn't that the most important thing in life?

I think it is. Having awesome mac and cheese is a good goal, too.

So welcome to the ESF, and thanks for reading this little modest piece of three years of my "foundation".

Georgia, Part IV

"That little bastard."

Sweet Georgia

Crossing over the Chattahoochee to Columbus made me anxious as fuck.

I realized that as we got closer to their home, I would have to meet the step-siblings of Alyssa. From what she told me in Texas, I was more than a little apprehensive of how they'd react to me.
